Upon graduating from the State University of New York in 1981 with a degree in Business/Accounting, I moved to Washington DC to join a Big 8 public accounting firm, where I earned my CPA and worked in a variety of industries, but specialized in government contracting and manufacturing.

As it was the early days of personal computing and given my skills, I was tasked with special projects for the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, and provided in-house training on Personal Computer usage.

Since then, I have been the CFO for a number of companies, with substantial experience in Finance and Accounting, Operations, Program Management, Contract Administration, Human Resources and Information Technology.

In the late 1980’s, I wrote a piece of commercial software as an add-on to one of Intuit’s main competitors, which sold over 25,000 copies in the United States.

Most recently, I was a major contributor to the turnaround of a troubled company, taking them from struggling for profits and cash, to eliminating their line-of-credit, generating substantial sums of cash, and becoming routinely profitable.  The end result was a liquidity event for the owners, of which I led the due diligence effort.

I also perform work on a pro-bono basis for local charities, including not only financial and information systems advice, but also as webmaster and photographer.
