Sometimes a user will be setup for single currency only (e.g., “USD”), but their forms will print with symbol for another currency (e.g., “£” for Pounds Sterling).
This may be the result of the operating system’s regional settings. If the regional settings are set for the incorrect currency, it overrides the symbol for the currency you indicate in QuickBooks.
To verify your regional settings, perform the following.
- Open your control panel (in Windows, click the Start button and then Control Panel)
- Double click on “Regional and Language Options”
- On the “Regional Options” tab, verify that the drop-down box is properly set (e.g., to read “English (United States)”).
